Welcome

This is the first posting of On the QT! Yes, I took the challenge to try a daily blog. It will contain my thoughts on a variety of topics. Some sports related. Some entertainment related. Some politically related (Oh, no) Some historically related. Some age related. Some not related.
Currently the Flying Chaucers are battling for 3rd in the MVRL Baseball League. And wouldn't you know it? When Matt Morris finds his stuff, Chris Carpenter loses his. In fact Chris has probably kissed his Cy Y goodbye after his last two outings. And the other post season award candidate, Mr. Pujols has to hit another dong or two or he's gonna finish 3rd in the MVP. An injustice to baseball and the Chaucerian Nation. (Hey, if there can be a raider nation and red sox nation, when every historian knows the term began and should end with CARDINAL NATION) then the Flying Chaucers may have a nation, even a small one.
As I shared with some of my following, daughter Courtney and I attend the Warner Bowl at Sun Devil Stadium last Sunday and watched hard hitting on both sides. None harder than the jarring shot that Torry Holt received going over the middle. He's simply never been hit harder. While he didn't come back strong, he was there running the routes and gutting it out. As I said in a post, don't blame Kurt for denny green's shabby handling on personnel changes in the last 20 seconds. He's leaving Kurt out there to take the blame, when he should have taken all the heat. Even mad martz does that much right.
Predix for this week: I'm going to rely on the old gambler's sucker game where you pick 3 games with spreads and if you win all 3 you triple your wager. It sounds so easy. My three choices are Pick one: Cowboys over 49ers+6 1/2
tw0: Bengals over Bears+3
three: Chiefs + 3 over Broncos
Check back on the blog. At least to see if I won with my picks. TQ
